2020 Festival Moved to 2021
The Outer Banks Seafood Festival Board of Directors announced today that the 2020 Outer Banks Seafood Festival will be postponed until October 2021. With the health and safety of our attendees, volunteers and staff uppermost in mind, as well as the many unknowns regarding crowd gatherings and the obstacles around them, the decision was made to ensure that the Festival will remain a happy, positive event.
“The mission of the Outer Banks Seafood Festival is to provide a fun and educational experience, while at the same time promoting, honoring and celebrating our coastal seafood heritage and community,” said 2020 Outer Banks Seafood Festival Chair Richard Hess. “With the need for social distancing due to COVID-19, we didn’t feel we could provide the same fun experience that our attendees have come to love.”
Stay tuned for information regarding a bigger and better 2021 event the weekend of October 15th, 2021 as well as the opportunity to purchase limited edition 2020 Festival t-shirts!
You can also purchase tickets at the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce office at 101 Town Hall Drive in Kill Devil Hills. Hours: Mon-Fri, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Cash, credit cards or checks accepted.

Tickets purchased before October 1 will be mailed to the purchaser; orders after October 1 will be ready for pickup at the event. Be sure to include your mailing address when you purchase online tickets! You can also purchase tickets onsite during the Festival. There will be no convenience fee onsite.
Online sales are for $5 admission tickets and $50 SeaBucks packs. Other denominations may be purchased the day of the event at the ticket booth.
VIP Packages! Available this year are a limited number (50) of VIP Packages. Each package includes parking across the street from the event site, 4 admission tickets, $50 in seabucks and 4 festival t-shirts. If you purchase one of these packages you will receive additional info via email regarding package pick-up, etc.
ALL advance ticket sales will be available for pick up at the WILL CALL entrance located at the bus drop off inside the festival.
General Admission Tickets are $5.00 Children under the age of 12 are admitted Free and must be accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets will be available online, at several retail outlets and at the festival the day of the event. We will accept cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover on the day of the festival. Admission includes free shuttle to and from the festival site, live entertainment, arts & crafts, Boat n’ Tackle Show, cooking demos, educational programs, marine life and boat exhibits.
SeaBucks Purchase Recommendation:
The Seafood Festival Committee recommends that Adults purchase 10 – 20 SeaBucks per person to make your purchases for food and beverage items.
*Important* All tickets, including free tickets, ticket vouchers, and SeaBucks purchased online MUST be exchanged at the Festival entrance for the official Festival tickets and currency on the day of the event.
SeaBucks
SeaBucks are the official currency of the Outer Banks Seafood Festival and have a $1.00 Festival Value each ($1 = 1 SeaBuck). All food at the individual festival food and beverage vendors must be purchased with SeaBucks. They may also be used for festival merchandise. Only valid October 17, 2020 at the festival. Unused SeaBucks are NOT refundable. They may be purchased in advance online, or at the festival the day of the event in the following amounts: $20, $40, $60, $80, and $100. We will accept cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover on the day of the festival.
